I can't believe it's already December! My favourite time of year!! Everyone's Christmas lights are up and weekends fill up fast with Christmas parties..not to mention birthdays *ahem* yep that's right 15 days till my birthday (not that I'm counting down or anything )

Every year I go all out for my birthday..I guess I'm just a bday gal. I love celebrating, not only my own, but everyone's birthday. Last year I had a great BBQ with friends, the year before I had a big birthday weekend with the gals and the year before that dancing all night..so much fun..and sooo many gifts..

This year though is going to be HUGE! We have a big event on the weekend of my bday. The Asian Leaders Forum!! YFC from ALL over Asia will be here...hmmm..serving on my birthday..I must be growing up because I couldn't think of a better way to spend my birthday...This year when asked: What do you want for your bday? I think about it and realise that for the first time ever in my life I can say...nothing (and mean it) I couldn't ask for anything more. This year has taught me a lot. I learnt what is important, who are important to me and how truly blessed I am. This year's birthday will be different, this time I will take the one day dedicated to me (and Terence ) and do something for others.

I know lots of people don't celebrate or make big deals about their birthdays, but I do, well I did...so hmm..I guess I am growing up.

I'm really into all this acoustic stuff now..(I know, I know, some people say it's jologs but I love it!) Anyway, I just got back from Sydney and Manila and I had a great time.

Sydney  "There's no place like home"

I went home for about 2 weeks, and got to see my gals and hang out around Sydney. It was great. Everytime I go back I am so overwhelmed with how beautiful it is in Sydney. The weather was perfect (btw it's 40 degrees now!! Imagine it's only october!) I had so many perfect moments with my friends and just so many good times. But ironically I was also really missing Singapore!

Erin, Fiona,Leigh and me at Dinner @ the Vanilla Room.

I really miss all my sydney girls...and now we have representatives in San Fran (shout out to Liz!!) and in Nagoya, Japan! (wasssssup maz!!) Cant wait to see you again in December! *mwah!*

Manila  "Hello Miss, Welcome to Starmart!"

I always have a great time in Manila!!! It was Mima's (my lola) bday and we pigged out on Chinese food and..yep Lechon..yumm...

Got to hang out with my crazeeee cuz Pops!!! Here we are with my cuz from Sydney Marie - at 4:30am still going!!! You energizer bunny! *note: we still ate breakfast afterwards..*

I was also lucky enough to hook up with my buddy Maureen..ain't she lovely?? Love ya Moz!

Then I got to go to the Gawad Kalinga Anniversary Concert which was to sum it up in one word "AWESOME!" GO GK!!

Right now I am re-reading one of my favourite books "The Alchemist" it's a classic..and it's a great read everytime. A good reminder for all my fellow dreamers out there.

"To realise one's destiny is a person's only obligation"

This weekend we had our YFC Hawaiian Discovery Camp!! ALOHA! It's was awesome!!! GOOD TIMES!

Special shout out to my supah modell's Elle (Paula bear) Gizelle (jen) Cherie (Cherie) Alphonso (Patrick) and of course Sven (Terence Song An) haha..u guys made me proud! Go praise and fashion!

Everytime I serve in a camp, no matter how many times I've heard the talks I always learn something new or at least get reminded about things I tend to forget:

*No one is perfect, but it's our choice to love imperfect people and to try to share perfect moments with them.

(i shared a perfect moment with my parents when I got home...it was awesome.)

I'll download the Discovery Camp pics soon..but in the meantime..here we are at the Covenant Orientation with some Canadian bros!

Well, Thank God for another exciting week! And for my bro's and sis' in the philz, I'll be in town for a quick visit first weekend of October..hope to see you!

*The next episode of the Amazing Race, Im hooked on that show!!! They went to Africa and ate an Ostrich egg which equals 2 dozen normal eggs! ewww  i told my mum that if we were on the Amazing Race together she would have to do that one..she said 'No way.'

Anyway, had a really fun gathering last sunday, the youth got to revisit their childhoods by doin some finger painting...let's just say that some got pretty messy and someone was left with blue braces after a paint attack by one of the naughty youth...(u know who u are.)  but yeh overall it was really fun being with them again.

Oh and Happy One year anniversary GLF!
